BE SKILLFUL is software, not a certification program or training franchise. There is no certification to earn, required affiliation or prescribed methodology to adopt. Use the tools that support your approach.

We respect the connections independent trainers build with their athletes. We will not use BE SKILLFUL’s trainer-athlete relationships to actively market the founders’ separate basketball training services.

Players, trainers and coaches choose BE SKILLFUL for connected development tools. We maintain direct platform relationships with members for account support, membership administration and opportunities to continue membership independently.
If trainer-sponsored access ends, an athlete may be offered an individual BE SKILLFUL membership. This is an offer to continue using the software, not a solicitation for the founders’ separate training business. For minors, membership decisions involve a parent or guardian.

Do I need a BE SKILLFUL certification or affiliation?
No. BE SKILLFUL is a software membership, not a certification program. Trainers and coaches can use the tools alongside their own training methods without becoming affiliated with the founders’ training business.
Will BE SKILLFUL market the founders’ training services to my athletes?
No. We do not use platform trainer-athlete relationships to actively promote the founders’ separate basketball training services. BE SKILLFUL may contact members about their software accounts, support and membership options.
What happens when a trainer ends a player’s sponsored access?
The athlete can be offered an individual paid BE SKILLFUL membership to continue using the platform and retain eligible training records. For minors, a parent or guardian handles the membership decision.
Can I pay $15 per month for a Player membership?
The Player membership is $180 per year, equivalent to $15 per month. It is billed as one annual payment, not monthly installments.
Does every membership include every application?
No. Every role includes its designated tools. Session Planner is included for Players and Trainers; Coaches need Trainer Tools to access it. Trainer and Coach members may add the other professional toolset for $150/year. Player memberships do not receive professional tools.
What counts as a linked player?
A linked player is an athlete connected to a professional account for supported training, development or performance workflows. Linked-player limits depend on the professional capacity tier selected.
Does the $150 add-on increase linked-player capacity?
No. It extends access to the other professional toolset. Linked-player capacity remains a separate membership choice.
Is The Lab available now?
Not yet. The Lab is coming soon and is planned for Player, Trainer and Coach memberships.
Who can see a player’s shooting and handling results?
Athletes can see their own saved BE a Shooter and BE a Handle records. Currently authorized linked trainers may also see the athlete’s permitted results. Unrelated or formerly linked trainers do not have access.
Does creating an account activate a paid membership?
No. Account registration and paid membership activation are separate steps. Paid membership activation is handled separately from account registration.
Can players build and repeat their own training sessions?
Yes. Player members can create and complete their own sessions in Session Planner. Trainers can assign sessions to authorized linked athletes and review permitted independent training. A player cannot edit the prescribed plan of a trainer-assigned session.
Can trainers assign one workout to several players?
Yes. Session Planner supports selecting multiple authorized linked athletes for one shared workout. Each athlete retains separate attendance, practice completions and feedback, subject to current permissions.
Are completed workouts automatically counted as skill improvement?
No. Training completion and performance are tracked separately. Skill assessments and measurable results are reviewed on their own; a logged workout does not automatically raise an athlete’s skill rating.
